- The international economics and trade is designed to provide students with the specific knowledge and analytical skills they need to take advantage of the opportunities created by the economic globalization and the growing interdependence of the economies of nations. The program draws from a rich economics and management education combined with abundant knowledge in all the functional areas of international trade. After graduated, the students can work in foreign trade companies in their own country, transnational corporations, banks and governments.
Entry Requirements
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health both physically and mentally with good academic background, observe Chinese laws as well as university rules and regulations, and respect Chinese customs.
- Age above 18. Students under 18 can also apply but they might need to find an adult(your family member, relatives or friends) living in China, better a Chinese, as your guarantor in China before you can apply, and your guarantor will need to provide related documents like guardian letter for you to support your application.
- Applicants must have a high school diploma or certification of equivalent education, between 18 and 28 years old. The high school diploma must be ready prior to the registration day.
- Applicants who apply for English-taught program and were taught in non-English must achieve minimum requirements for IELTS (Academic) total score 5.5, TOEFL score 80 or provide other kinds of English proficiency certificate.

Program Description
I. Objectives
The international economics and trade is designed to provide students with the specific knowledge and analytical skills they need to take advantage of the opportunities created by the economic globalization and the growing interdependence of the economies of nations. The program draws from a rich economics and management education combined with abundant knowledge in all the functional areas of international trade. After graduated, the students can work in foreign trade companies in their own country, transnational corporations, banks and governments.
II. Requirements
Students are required to obtain abilities to survey independently, analyze problems comprehensively, and make decisions on international businesses by theory learning and skill training in international economy and trades.
Graduates should obtain knowledge and ability of the following aspects:
- To have a general knowledge of Chinese culture and business customs and practices;
- To have good ideological and political quality and moral ability;
- Master systematic theories and methods in international business;
- Be familiar with domestic and foreign business laws, regulations and customs;
- Maintain capabilities of communication, social skills, and team working; master the basic methods of information retrieval and query;
- Master qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to some extent in international business; to manage and execute international business deals;
- Possess abilities to solve international business issues, conduct business analyses and decisions;
- Have the ability to analyze and operate international trade business with big data and cross-border E-commerce.

*1. Certificate of Guarantee, proof of the guarantor's financial ability
Mainly including statement of employment and income, certificate of bank deposit or other proof of financial ability.
*2. Motivation Letter
Applicants shall submit reports written in English or Chinese with a minimum of 800 words about theirstudy intention at NJUST. The report includes the educational background, working experiences, motivation of studying at NJUST, reasons for choosing majors, and personal career planning after graduation, etc.
*3. Physical Examination Form(only valid for 6 months)
You shall fill out the form in English or in Chinese and keep the original form. The medical examination must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant will be considered as invalid. Please carefully arrange your physical examination schedule as the physical examination result is valid for only 6 months.
